Acharya Peeth Moolgaadi
(Cardinal Throne)

In the upper part of the Smriti Kaksh is the dome of the Beejak temple. This dome is an example of integration of temple and mosque architecture. The temple is built on a 2150 square feet (51 X 41 feet) high platform. This platform is the main part of Kabirchaura. Kabir used to give his sermons sitting on this platform where there now stands the head preacher’s throne along with the Acharya Peeth (abode and study center of the preachers). While entering the temple, on the left hand side is the head preacher’s meditation room and boarding, and outside the room is the throne. The head preacher sits on this throne and makes his holy presence felt to the thousands of devotees and visitors. There rests a copy of an ancient manuscript in the temple. The Beejak manuscript has been safely stored in the Math library for perusal. People from around the globe throng the Math to have a look at the precious collection to have a feel of Sant Kabir’s life so that they can feel united with their guru.
