List of Activities

· Reorganization of 'Kabir Dal' was done in 70's. It was launched by Acharya Ram Vilas Das during freedom struggle. In post-freedom-era, Sant Vivekdas Acharya, the present supreme of Kabirpanth, revived Kabir Dal, to preach basic tenets of the Panth and check the declining of human values in society. Apart from playing key-role in spiritual field, the Moolgadi has always been instrumental in social reformation and reconstruction. The Kabir Dal, still active on track is a vital symbol of this very social responsibility initiated by the Moolgadi.

· Centuries-long tradition of Satsangs- in Kabirpanth, the Satsangs is the main as well as the conventional organ of spreading the awareness among the people. Its tradition is as old as the Kabirpanth itself. These Satsangs are still organized in different parts of India and abroad as per the directives given by the Moolgadi. This unbroken tradition has played a key-role to make the marginalized and the oppressed masses adhere to their faith and derive solace.

· Education, teaching training and learning-The sadhu's come to the Moolgadi to study the traditions of the Bhakti Movement in general and Kabir Saheb's message in particular. In order to train the sadhu's, the oriental way of classes under gurushishya-parampara (an ancient tradition of learning where masters teach their pupils in an informal way) and the contemporary classroom way of learning, both are combined at the Moolgadi giving equal weight.
Various regular colleges recognized by the competent educational councils are also run under the flagship of Moolgadi in different cities. Some are unto higher secondary standards whereas others are oriental Sanskrit-degree colleges. Apart from these, some vocational courses on short-term basis are also conducted in the premises under the subject-experts. A regular course on yoga and meditation is also conducted in the campus of Moolgadi. In addition to it, a regular course particularly dedicated to the sahaja-yoga (as designated and initiated by Kabir Saheb) is also conducted through out the year but for the seekers at advanced-stage only.
The Moolgadi also provides for education of poor students. About 200 students are admitted in this scheme. This leads to better character formation in the youth as well as cultivates among them the path for renunciation and Sanyas particularly to that segment of younger generation who are eager to join monastic life particularly the order of Kabir Saheb.
And also, The Moolgadi is a vibrant intellectual center for discourses on
the different aspects of spiritualism and society. Scholars from Benares Hindu University, Kashi Vidyapith and the different universities all over India are engaged in these academic and scholarly mode of activities facilitated by the Moolgadi throughout the year.

· Kabir Sodh Sansthan- The Moolgadi runs the well equipped research cell to be developed in near future as a research institute named after Kabir Saheb, where the research scholars in large numbers are engaged in researching the different aspects of the Kabirpanth, Bhakti movement and the preachings delivered by Kabir Saheb and also by the other saints belonging to the rich lineage of this historic tradition over the time. A battery of celebrated international scholars like Dr. David Lorenzen of Mexico, Prof. Linda Hess of university of California, and Russian scholars from oriental institute of Moscow and many others are engaged recently The Chinese academy of social sciences Beijing has also shown interest in the subject. Also, the mainstream of scholars of almost all Indian universities has always been attracted by the research-institute run at the Moolgadi. It is considered as the only place on the globe for going deeper in the Bhakti movement, Kabir Saheb, and other saints active in medieval India. It has built up a substantial library that is always made available to the research-scholars where over 700 rare manuscripts along with a rich collection of books on almost all the aspects and streams related to the Bhakti movement, Saint Kabir and other saints of medieval era. It has a rich archival resource center of the manuscript organized by Prof David Lorenzen of El Collegio Del Mexico.

· Publication House- The Moolgadi has own publication-house, namely Kabirvani Prakashan Kendra, which has over hundred titles of books to its credit. It is considered as one of the most dynamic centers of publication in the spiritual world. The original text of Bijak, the Holy book of Kabirpanth and the significant work compiled with the sayings by Kabir Saheb, is published under this very banner. The publication-house also brings out special commemorative volumes from time to time. It is the only publication-house committed to publish the original text of the Kabirvani.
· Organizing the Seminars- The Moolgadi is the most coveted place for serious seminars and conferences on the topics varying from spiritualism to social crisis. The papers read in these seminars are submitted and put up by the authorities and subject-experts invited from all over the world.

· Music Festivals and Cultural Events- The Moolgadi also organizes music festivals, especially on the bhajans originally composed and sung by Kabir Saheb from time to time. Though the Moolgadi is now considered as the most important center for the nirguna music in the country, but the concerts in Hindustani Classical Music are also organized here.
The Moolgadi is slated to launch a new initiative of organizing three day long concert-oriented festival once a year dedicated to the devotional music either composed in classical way or presented in folk mode collected from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and music from Diaspora locations. This ambitious and massive devotional Music Festival is to be organized on international level in the campus of Moolgadi.
The Other kind of cultural events, especially the plays in dramatizing the thoughts of Kabir Saheb are also organized in the premises of Moolgadi from time to time and in other cities. Mainly sadhu's, trained in dramatics, take part in these plays. This kind of plays has played a pilot-role in establishing a repertory of dramatics and media-arts in the premises of Moolgadi.

· Media, Films and Albums- The Moolgadi has its own production-house, namely Siddhapith Kabirchauramath Moolgadi, for the purpose of making these films, tele-films, music-albums, and so on along with devising other media activities including talks on radio and television. H.H. Sant Vivekdas Acharya is very keen on expansion of this activity. A film titled Chalo Re Math Kabirchaura Mein has been recently completed, and aimed globally. The films tele-films released under the banner of Moolgadi are the rarest products of quality produced by the media-network of the Moolgadi, which is assisted by a set of committed mainstream-professionals like Krishna Kalki and others. Till the date, Moolgadi has also released numerous titles of musical discs (music-albums) in large number. All of these exclusively tuned albums cater to the poetries of Kabir. The Moolgadi is also working on the project of establishing an audio studio at the national head quarter.

· Repertory of Dramatics & Media-arts- The Moolgadi is to run a full-fledged repertory of dramatics and media-arts on the workshop basis under the guidance of experts and mainstream-professionals. All the segments of dramatics and media-arts right from content-development to presentation will be taught here, and such plays are to prepared those which could make the masses aware of the ideas of Kabir Saheb. The in-depth but practical know-how right from histrionics to set designing and phonetics is designed to give the learners, which obviously is to result on the impact of the plays prepared here. Talents from outside the Moolgadi will also be welcome in general but Moolgadi is preparing the sadhu's in particular who could travel to different rural and urban areas in the country along with the troupes performing the plays dramatizing the thoughts of Kabir The countdown to launch this activity has already begun.

· Kabir Jayanti Samaroh- A grand festival-like function celebrating the occasion of Kabir Jayanti (the birthday of Kabir Saheb) is organized every year in the premises of the Moolgadi on the day of Poornima (full-moon) of lunar month Jyeshta. Following the guidelines given by the Moogadi, the 600th anniversary of Kabir Saheb was also observed all over the world including Netherlands, North America and Caribbean islands like Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana and Surinam in a befitting manner. The Moolgadi also celebrates the anniversaries of almost all major figures of Bhakti movement of other cultural-religious streams.

· Statues, Murals at Moolgadi- Statues of al important saints and like-minded public-personalities have been stalled in the campus of Moolgadi. Gora, Sen, Ravidas, Dariya, Dadoo Dayal adorn the renovated campus. Apart from these statues, the murals depicting the life journey of Kabir Saheb besides the labour-oriented spiritual tradition shaped by him are also engraved on the inner walls of the premises. All these have made the Moolgadi a place of pilgrimage as well as tourist spot. These draw crowds from all over the world.

· Sadhu Jagran- The Moolgadi runs different training programs for sadhus throughout the year. Under these programs run on the full-time basis, a new generation of sadhu's is prepared in accordance with the norms and demands of Kabirpanth. This is the part of modernization of the sadhu community. The sadhu's trained here are sent to the maths/ashrams of Moolgadi all over the world.

· Medical Aid- The Moolgadi also runs a mobile dispensary scheme for providing medical aid to the rural people of the district. Following the directives given by the Moolgadi, many other maths/ashrams are also running this scheme in their localities. Under the direct vigil of Moolgadi, a specialized dispensary catering naturopathic treatment is also working for the decades.

· Establishing New Maths- On the instruction of the Moolgadi, new maths/ashrams are also established besides renovating the old maths/ashrams. Recently one of such ashrams was established in the name of Kabirchauramath, and is run under flagship of Moolgadi in Trinidad and Tobago.

· Development of Lahartara- A massive renovation project has been taken for restoration and cleaning of the lake Lahartara where Kabir Saheb was found as an infant. The 'Kabir Prakatya Sthal' (the place where Kabir appeared/ was found) will be one of the maojr landmarks as pilgrimage and tourist spot in time to come. H.H. Vivekdas Acharya, the present chief has started a campaign for beautification, restoration and re-architecting of the 'Kabir Prakatya Sthal' at Lahartara in Varanasi.

· Kabir Mela- Very soon, the Moolgadi is to launch a new tradition of organizing a month-long Kabir Mela in its premises. It will be one of the major programs to disseminate the ideas of Kabir Saheb.
